Expandable Polystyrene EPS

Expandable Polystyrene (EPS), commonly known as "foam plastic" or "polystyrene foam raw material," is a lightweight polymer composed of polystyrene resin and a blowing agent. When heated, it can expand 40 to 50 times its original volume, ultimately forming a rigid foam plastic with a fine closed-cell structure.

Our company's main product varieties include: Extra-light material P-grade, Fast material K-grade, Standard material E-grade, Flame retardant material F-grade, High-foaming flame retardant grade FP, Advanced flame retardant grade SF, High-strength advanced flame retardant grade FSQ, and Graphite Polystyrene S-FG (Suspension Polymerization Method).

Our company has innovatively developed a series of Graphite Polystyrene (Extrusion Method) products, which are at an internationally leading level. These include Graphite Polystyrene ST (Extrusion Method): Graphite Polystyrene (Extrusion Method) ST GEPS, and High-strength Graphite Polystyrene (Extrusion Method High-strength Graphite Polystyrene) STQ. Notably, STQ boasts a low thermal conductivity of less than 0.032 W/(m·K), high strength, and B1-grade flame retardancy, making it the preferred insulation material for ultra-low energy passive houses.

For customers, our Suspension Polymerization PS can be custom-tailored to produce specialized polystyrene suitable for XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) and graphite extrusion method SEPS (Graphite Modified Expandable Polystyrene), offering products with high strength and excellent foaming properties.

EPS raw material typically exists in the form of transparent or translucent small beads. Its core chemical composition is shown in the table below:

Product Application(Expandable Polystyrene EPS)

Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) features low thermal conductivity, excellent heat insulation, low water absorption, good shock resistance, aging resistance, high compressive strength, and favorable mechanical strength. It is currently recognized worldwide as the most economical material for cushioning, thermal insulation, and sound insulation. EPS is widely used in packaging products such as those for fruits, vegetables, seafood, and express delivery, as well as in new materials, plastic floating materials, and external insulation of building walls.
1.Packaging Industry: Shock-absorbing liners for home appliances like TVs and refrigerators; cold chain transport boxes for fresh food.
2.Construction Engineering: Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS); insulation layers for underfloor heating; lightweight fillers for roads and bridges (geofoam).
