Polyamide PA 
Polyamide resin, abbreviated as PA, commonly known as Nylon. It is the most produced, diverse, and widely used among the five major engineering materials. The primary varieties of nylon are PA 6 and PA 66. PA 66 being approximately 12% harder than PA 6. Following these are PA 11, PA 12, PA 610, and PA 612, as well as PA 1010, PA 46, PA 7, PA 9, and PA 13. Newer varieties include PA 6I, PA 6T, PA 9T, PA6I6T and special types such as MXD6 (a barrier resin). Additionally, there are numerous modified varieties of nylon, such as reinforced nylon, monomer-cast nylon (MC nylon), reaction injection molding (RIM) nylon, aromatic nylon, transparent nylon, high-impact (super-tough) nylon, electroplated nylon, conductive nylon, flame-retardant nylon, as well as blends and alloys of nylon with other polymers. These materials meet various specific requirements and are widely used as substitutes for traditional materials like metals and wood.PA 1010 is a variety unique to China, produced using castor oil as the raw material.
Key Properties of PA6T
The electronic component uses PA6T/66, a modified nylon 6T with a melting point as high as 310°C. The main characteristics of PA6T/66 are excellent high-temperature rigidity, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance. These superior properties make PA6T widely applicable in many fields, including automotive parts, mechanical components, and electrical/electronic parts. The key features of PA6T are as follows:
1. Excellent Solder Resistance
PA6T has a very high melting point (310°C) and a high heat deflection temperature (approximately 290°C), resulting in excellent solder resistance (reflow solderability). This superior solder resistance makes PA6T particularly suitable for electronic connectors used in Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
2. Outstanding High-Temperature Rigidity
PA6T maintains a relatively high modulus even at elevated temperatures. For example, its modulus at 120°C is about 55% of that at 23°C. This means PA6T retains stable and excellent rigidity across a wide temperature range.

4. Low Water Absorption
For a nylon resin, PA6T exhibits relatively low water absorption—only about 1/4 to 1/3 that of nylon 66. As a result, the changes in physical properties due to water absorption are relatively small.
5. Excellent Dimensional Stability
PA6T has very low water absorption, leading to minimal dimensional changes due to moisture uptake. Its coefficient of thermal expansion remains stable and stays at a relatively low level even at high temperatures, ensuring good dimensional stability against temperature variations. Additionally, PA6T shows minimal warpage during the molding process, contributing to its excellent dimensional stability.
6. Excellent Flowability
PA6T possesses good melt flow characteristics, making it easy to process via injection molding. It also offers excellent thin-wall molding capability, making it suitable for forming small, intricate parts.
7. Low Flash Formation During Molding
PA6T also retains an inherent characteristic of nylon resins—low flash formation during injection molding.

Product Application(PA 6T)
PA6T (polyhexamethylene terephthalamide) is a semi-aromatic polyamide (PPA). Due to its excellent high-temperature resistance, low water absorption, high dimensional stability, and good mechanical properties, it is widely used in fields with stringent performance requirements. Its main applications can be summarized as follows:
1. Electronics and Electrical Applications
PA6T has an extremely high melting point (approximately 310–320°C) and excellent solder resistance (reflow solderability), making it an ideal material for precision components in surface-mount technology (SMT), such as electronic connectors, sockets, and relays. It can withstand the high temperatures during reflow soldering without deformation or performance degradation.
2. Automotive Industry
Thanks to its outstanding heat resistance, chemical resistance (to fuels, engine oil, ethylene glycol, brake fluid, etc.), and rigidity retention at high temperatures, PA6T is commonly used to manufacture engine peripheral components (e.g., sensor housings, radiator end caps), transmission parts, fuel system components, and automotive connectors.

PA6T's high strength, wear resistance, and dimensional stability make it suitable for manufacturing wear-resistant transmission and structural parts, such as gears, sliders, bearings, pump impellers, and snap-fit components, especially in high-temperature or humid environments where it maintains stable performance.
4. Other Applications
PA6T is also widely used in applications requiring high rigidity, low water absorption, and good flowability, such as precision instrument housings, power tool parts, and high-end consumer electronics.

Additionally, by incorporating different proportions of glass fiber (e.g., 15% or 35%) or other modifiers, its flowability, warpage control, and surface quality can be further optimized to meet the molding requirements of thin-walled, long-flow-path, or appearance-critical parts.
