LDPE

Low Density Polyethylene, also known as High Pressure Polyethylene (LDPE), is the lightest grade among polyethylene resins. It appears as milky white, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, waxy pellets with a matte surface.
 
It features excellent flexibility, extensibility, electrical insulation, transparency, processability, and certain air permeability. It also exhibits good chemical stability, resistance to alkalis, and tolerance to common organic solvents.

The coating Grade LDPE can be smoothly rolled flat while offering low vapor permeability. It is distinguished by superior heat-sealing properties, wide molecular weight distribution, and high branching structure. It delivers excellent bonding strength in coating applications and is specially designed for high-speed extrusion coating lines.

Features: 

(1) The film is slightly milky white and transparent with good flexibility. 
(2) Excellent low-temperature resistance and moderate heat resistance. 
(3) Good moisture resistance, chemically stable and insoluble in common solvents. 
(4) High air permeability. 
(5) Poor oil resistance; the product may swell or dissolve slowly. 
(6) Prolonged exposure to UV radiation and heat causes aging, deteriorating its physical and dielectric properties. 
(7) The melt is susceptible to thermal-oxidative degradation when exposed to oxygen during processing.

Applications

Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is suitable for a variety of thermoplastic processing methods and features excellent processability. It can be processed by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, rotational molding, coating, foaming, thermoforming, hot air welding, heat sealing, and other processes.

LDPE is mainly used in film products:
